Fast isn’t about pure speed, it’s about perfect speed. It’s about knowing the right line and having the confidence to ride it. The new SRAM Guide RS is precision at your fingertips, with a proven 4-piston caliper and innovative SwingLink lever technology that gives you more positive pad contact and increased braking authority. Light, crisp, clean and now compliments your SRAM drivetrain. Go faster. Now with the world champion S4 brake calliper with Bleeding Edge and Heat Shield technologies.
Bleeding Edge Bleeding Edge technology allows quick and easy bleeding of the brakes. An updated fluid path and bleed porting make it easier to push fluid through the caliper. A special adapter can be placed on the vent and seals the system to prevent air ingress and loss of fluid.
Expandable Bladder SRAM's new brake lever design includes a new bubble shape that regulates and reduces air bubbles. The bladder is specifically shaped to evacuate air from the lever and push the fluid exactly where it’s needed. The result is improved back pressure relief for reliable and constant braking performance.
Compatible with MatchMaker and MMX With Matchmaker you save weight and space on your handlebars. Matchmaker incorporates Avid brake handles, SRAM trigger switches and various RockShox adjustment buttons in the form of a lightweight and neat clamp - a dream come true for all worldwide space savers on the handlebars.
PiggyBack Reservoir The brake fluid reservoir in SRAM's current lever design is designed for optimum performance and easy handling. The PiggyBack Reservoir offers a simple, failsafe way to manage brake fluid, and also allows for ambidextrous lever placement– so you can switch your levers on the handlebar and run them motorbike-style without hassle.
Grip width adjustment The fit and ergonomics of the brake lever is a very personal matter. All riders have individual position preferences as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. The handle width adjustment makes it easy to adjust the lever - for maximum control with just one finger.
SwingLink When you pull on a new SRAM brake lever, you'll notice the difference immediately - a shorter idle stroke and optimised brake pad actuation. A new cam system requires less lever throw to push the pads toward the rotor. That’s great, but there’s more to perfect braking performance than just power. You need control. Many brake systems offer a shorter empty travel - but at the expense of modulation. SwingLink solves this problem with its special cam shape. When the pads contact the rotor, power is modulated, avoiding that “on/off” brake feel. This creates the perfect balance between power and precision.
Timing Port Closure The synchronising port of a hydraulic brake is the connection between the reservoir and the main cylinder bore. When the lever is squeezed, a cup seal passes this area and closes the port, which pressurizes the system. SRAM’s new timing port closure system features durable seals and an ultra-smooth cylinder bore finish, producing dependable braking power and consistency.
